The design of an exhaust gas-air heat exchanger faces large constraints in terms of sizing.<\/p>\n\n

In order to achieve acceptable performance with limited heat exchange surfaces, care must be taken to maintain a turbulent aeraulic system with a high Reynolds number. \n \nHowever, this type of operation results in high pressure losses. \n \nOur design is the result of a compromise between fan power, exchanger tube diameters, and length.<\/p>\n\n

We are able to recycle part of the fumes coming out of the exchanger and mix them with the exhaust gases. In this way, the attack temperature is lowered while allowing combustion close to chemical ideals. \n \nIn addition, this procedure increases the flow rate in the tubes and improves the exchange efficiency.<\/p>\n\n
